Waiting for Opening Day

While I take my seam ripper (which is funny if you know me because I do not sew) and slowly remove the m-a-r-t-i-n letters from my favorite jersey, leaving the 55 to see who will be assigned that number next (remember when Orel Hershiser had it?), I ponder my team.  I probably should be helping my daughter with World History, but really, what is important here?

Anyway, for Christmas I received 2 tickets to any game from my boss.  I also got Dodger blue ear buds and Joe Torre's book.  Then there was the jewelry, lotion, and assorted other stuff all women are suppose to get.  I want to go to a game when they give away the Dodger snuggie.  Teacher man just laughs at that.  He wants to go sometime in August when school is out.  We will probably go in May for our anniversary.

Then there is a game in Vegas Teacher Man told me about.  Dodgers play the Cubs.  Have I mentioned that oldest daughter married a Cubs fan?  A Cubs fan!  Where did we go wrong?  On a serious note, he is a wonderful son-in-law and one great memory I have from their wedding is sitting at the table with his dad (Cardinals fan), son-in-law (the aforementioned Cubs fan), and their pastor and his wife, White Sox fans, and talking baseball.  Good times!

  1. I can't wait for the season to start!

You can't chose who your children marry.

    Go Dodgers!
